Ralph Norman Brings the Fight for Closed Primaries & Infrastructure Reform to Columbia

Congressman Ralph Norman is taking the fight for transformative change directly to state lawmakers through focused and decisive leadership on issues affecting South Carolina voters. Recently, Ralph held two significant press conferences centered on the fight for closed primaries and infrastructure reform, making it clear that Ralph is not running to maintain the status quo, but to reorient South Carolina on a conservative path and address challenges long neglected by career politicians.

On January 15th, Ralph brought the case for real closed Republican primaries through H. 3310 straight to the State House. The Congressman firmly believes that only Republicans, not Democrats or “unaffiliated” voters, should choose their party’s nominees for elected office. Additionally, Ralph returned to the State House the following week to lay out his vision for fixing South Carolina’s crumbling roads and bridges, highlighting the need for counties to take greater ownership of their roads and his pledge to have a “working” Lt. Governor serve as his “Road Czar.” These press conferences received significant media attention in outlets including Fox Carolina, WCNC, WIS News, and Spectrum News.

By taking his message directly to Columbia and putting lawmakers on notice, Congressman Norman is demonstrating that, as South Carolina’s next governor, he is laser-focused on the issues that matter most and is not afraid to use the bully pulpit and the means at his disposal to get the job done.
