New Poll Shows Ralph Norman in Striking Distance of Opponents & Leading on the Issues

The South Carolina Policy Council’s February 4th 2026 Winter Poll confirmed what South Carolinian voters already know: the race for Governor is highly competitive. Yet the poll found that Congressman Ralph Norman is not only competitive in his bid for office, but is leading on the issues that matter most to South Carolinians.

According to this latest poll, Congressman Ralph Norman sits squarely among the top contenders despite spending the least of any candidate. Currently, Congresswoman Nancy Mace leads with 18% of the vote, followed by Attorney General Alan Wilson and Lieutenant Governor Pam Evette at 12%, and Congressman Ralph Norman at 11%. With a margin of error of +/- 2.77%, Congressman Norman is neck-and-neck with his opponents.

What’s more, the poll found that the Congressman is on the right side of the issues facing South Carolina. For instance, 58% of respondents support changing South Carolina’s system for selecting judges, while another 58% stood against any effort by the state to increase Department of Transportation funding without first implementing structural reforms to track spending. With 43% of voters reportedly still undecided, the candidate who leads on the issues voters care about stands to gain the most from voters still deciding who will lead their state.
